A full weekend masterclass on Face Reading in Chinese medicine with a focus on how emotions can modify our face. The workshop will be held in English with Italian translation.

In person seminars are activated when the minimum number of partecipants is achieved. Confirmations are sent one week prior to the starting day.
During the seminars audio recordings are allowed, while filming is not.

Programme of the masterclass

This two-day immersive workshop offers an introduction to the fascinating art of Face Reading from a Chinese medicine perspective. Our face is said to be the blueprint of who we are and who we are becoming. Every feature, line, shape, and expression reflects aspects of our personality, life experiences, strengths, challenges, and emotional patterns.

Throughout life, our experiences leave their imprint on the face. In many ways, the face becomes the story of our journey.

During the workshop we will study the different shapes of the face and various face maps like the age map, emotional map and organs map. A significant amount of time will be devoted to practicing Face Reading skills in small groups, under the teacher's supervision.

A short interview with Deirdre Courtney. We talk about her personal path, the content of the course and how face reading competences can be integrated with the other tools of Chinese medicine practiotioners.

Deirdre Courtney

Deirdre Courtney is a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, international author, and Master Face Reader. She lectures and teacher at conferences, schools and training programmes around the world in her areas of expertise, including Yang Sheng, Face Reading, Facial Diagnosis, Chinese Nutrition, and Herbal Medicine. With more than 35 years of experience, Deirdre has worked as an acupuncturist, herbalist, nutritional counsellor, and chef specialising in health-supportive foods and lifestyle practices rooted in Chinese medicine. She is the author of the book Nourishing Life the Yang Sheng Way: Nutrition and Lifestyle Advice from Chinese Medicine, published by Singing Dragon in 2019. Deirdre began her Face Reading training with Lillian Bridges in 1999 and later taught alongside her for many years. From 2013 to 2022, she served as Education Director for the Lotus Institute and the Master Face Reading Certification Program. She received her Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine LA.
Deirdre is licensed by the National Certification Board for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, is a PDA provider, and maintains a private practice in Blackrock, Co Dublin, Ireland.
